Bolton Bolts

I never got a very nice impression of John Bolton, Bush's nom for U.N Ambassador. He seemed to pushy, to conservative, to pro-Israel, and much to uncaring of the world in general. It seemed he was bent on creating more power for the states in the U.N., regardless of what the U.N. wanted. Lets not forget that he had no respect for the U.N. before his appointment, and basically felt that America was number one in the world, and we had to do anything to keep that status.

Now, I'm no fan of the U.N. They seem to be all talk and little action, and what action they take normally makes me cringe. Some of the small little rulings they pass that slip under the radar are just a tad creepy. but we are a part of it, we need someone in there who can handle it with making America as a whole look like more of an ass.

Which is why I was glad to see today that Mr. Bolton was dropped like a hot rock, go Senate - for once I appreciate your stalling long enough to let Mr. Bolton flee with at least a little of his dignity (well, that hair acts like a dignity sheild, and the stache is a shield generator).
